As always this tryout season has been filled with tampering, very questionable ethics etc., especially given there is no change necessary based on new ages. P.W.S.A. is taking all of the matters very seriously and will apply the full extent of the rules.

We are truly dismayed today to learn that one of our teams has set up a false email account using the name of a respected coach in our community and began sending emails last evening/this morning advising players they had been cut from this coaches team. Not certain at this point how many coaches have been impacted but we suggest coaches speak to the athletes who might be missing from the 2nd day of tryouts.

This does not appear to have affected any U10, U12, Open or Intermediate teams

Tryouts may continue, you can select your team if you are certain all those athletes who were supposed to show up today did and understand we will not consider any roster finalized at this point in time.

This is a new low in our sport and of course has now screwed up the tryout process for not just one but several teams.

P.W.S.A. has brought in the police department to investigate the fraud but in the interim will be putting a pause on the forming of all teams until we can proceed with legitimate tryouts and offers.

Please note the athletes in question in tampering and fraud cases will be permitted to play for anyone but the team who tampered with them. We will advise when rosters for the 2022 season can be finalized.
